Head-to-head
who they fought across the stateBooth-level extremes
1,601 booths analysed →VCK contested 8 of 234 seats in TN 2026 inside the SPA alliance — the state-level reflection of the INC-led UPA / INDIA bloc. Across 1,601 polling stations with 200+ valid votes, four numbers stand out.
382 of 476 voters chose VCK at Booth 90 in Nellikuppam — the party’s tightest lock-in anywhere. Panruti has been a long-running VCK base; the booth-scale dominance shows the community floor still delivers at full depth inside the SPA seat-share.
VCK held this booth by a single vote with 35.5% share. Thiruporur produced two of VCK’s tightest results in the state — one win and one loss — inside the same constituency, showing how knife-edge the small VCK footprint became at booth level.
VCK averages 32.1% across Panruti, but at Booth 90 (Nellikuppam) it took 80.3% — a 48-point local jump. Hot pockets at this volume (31 booths above the 35-point delta) cluster tightly inside Panruti and Cuddalore, the traditional VCK base belt.
VCK averaged 52.0% vote share across the 1,601 booths it contested inside the SPA — the highest share-in-contested figure among the SPA partners. The SPA transfer landed cleanly inside VCK’s 8 chosen seats, with zero wipeouts and 31 hot pockets where the alliance vote consolidated behind VCK at booth scale.
