868 of 973 voters chose PMK at Booth 106 in Marankandigai — the party’s tightest lock-in anywhere. Sholinghur sits in the Vanniyar-base Ranipet district; the booth-scale dominance shows where the traditional PMK floor still holds at full depth.
PMK held this booth by a single vote with 33.0% share. The knife-edge wins (just 6 across the state) are sparse — the PMK profile leans on a small set of deep pockets rather than thin wins spread across many booths.
PMK averages 33.8% across Sholinghur, but at Booth 106 (Marankandigai) it took 89.2% — a 55-point local jump. The Sholinghur cluster repeats this pattern across multiple booths, marking it as a hyper-local PMK pocket inside a seat the party did not always win at the AC level.
PMK averaged 40.9% vote share across the 3,755 booths it contested inside the NTDA — unusually high for a partner of this size, evidence that the NDA-bloc seat-share concentrated PMK in seats where it had deep Vanniyar-base support. The 13 knife-edge losses (more than double the wins) show conversion was still uneven.
